    X-Perl UnitFrames Empty X-Perl UnitFrames

Post  Geiledonder Tue Jul 07, 2009 11:31 pm

Hey since I saw lots of people on the scapegaming forums asking about what kind of add-on they were using for unit-frames, I thought it would be nice that I posted some information on the one that I use (especially when raiding).

X-Perl is fully customizable and can be used as a replacement for player frames, party frames, pet frames, raid frames etc. It not only totally pimps the looks it also adds extra features to your frames like castingbars.

I will post a screenshot of it later on, when I've finally logged in. tongue

X-Perl 3.02a <- the version I use, haven't had any errors with it so far Wink

    cheers Have Fun!!

Xperl is NOT the best for a couple of reasons. It's not rly customizeable , it takes lots of memory, the look gets boring after a while. I prefer using ag_unitframes, easily customizeable, efficent and don't take that much memory. Pitbul on the other side is by far the most used addon by UI creators. SImply because you can do whatever you want with it, it's not that easy tho. But every1 has an opinion, default unit frames ftw XD

I like Xperl bcuz it gives the unit frames some xtra info usefull in raids and PVP, I don't mind it being not so customizable. Just like Bartender, you have to spend atleast half an hour to get ur interface straight, so frustrating Razz

I think default unit frames fail. Anything that's vanilla isn't that good IMO.

Actually from the beggining of WoTLK i haven't searched for unit frames so i used the vanilla ones. They work fine for me, both pve and pvp. Every1 has his own taste u know.
