Priest, the number one healer!

Well, in my experience, playing as a Priest is always my favourite, even though it is not the strongest definitely. Let me give you a background on what Priests do.

General
Priests are the ambassadors of healing and aiding those who would want to take up such epic quests. (you know, raids, instances, BGs etc.) From group healing to Ressurection, Priests are highly needed in just about anything. Be it raids, instances, quest groups, BGs or arenas, Priests are one of the best healers you can find. They may not be the best in PvP, but they also do have some offensive Shadow magic to kick some people's butts!

Talents
Discipline - Allows a higher survivability and a vitrual manaless healer!
Holy - You will become the first person to be invited as a healer, as you will heal more damage.
Shadow - You can use Shadowform and kick the arse out of your enemies with OMGWTFBQQ Shadow damage.

Races available
Alliance - Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves, Draeneis.
Horde - Trolls, Undead, Blood Elves

Equipments
Armor - Cloths only
Equipment - 1H mace, 2H staves, 2H staff, 1H dagger, wands

Are you sure it is the number one healer among all healing classes? Because I've seen some pretty nasty druidzor healers on TBC that were on the 1st place in SWP raids on Patch 2.4.3 ! And don't forget about the imba OP holydins rofl..I just hate them ! Btw Rage told me that Resto Shamans are the BEST healers on retail..... monkey

the only reason those druids healed alot in 2.4.3 was the lolbloom T5 set. and holy pally's only heal about 1.2k per flash heal so if ur tank dies hard u wont cut it with 1 or 2 holy pally's. as for the shammy i dont know, i do think is that the shammy tends to run out of mana (unless he has lots of AP and uses his shamanistic rage). So that leaves either the holy priest with 8k+ crit heals or the Disc priest that really has to try to run out of mana.

I never liked the way the druids heal.. they're only good at bosses that silence since they're totally HOT Razz

As Roflin already stated in TBC the druids heal so much cuz of the T5 lolbloomers set (which was bugged).
I don't really know about shamans either, i have one, it's enhancement so i dont really heal alot with it. But i think Shamans and Priest aren't that different, they both use direct huge ass heal spells that require decent mana and casting time.. only the shaman has chain heal, but the priest has multiple other group heals like Prayer of Healing, circle of healing, prayer of mending etc.

Conclusion PRIEST PWN!!! cheers

Priests are most definitely the best raid healaers. Since CoH does such a good job of healing the raid, other healers cab focus on just healing the tank. Of course a tank healing priest with Penance can keep a tank alive longer than most classes because he'll never go oom.

Yes it was, its never been fixed, the ticks do about 2k which is WAY too much, i mean you would only get that much by adding the complete SP of your priest to every tick.. if you would do that with renew, lol, well that would be funny Razz

I love my priest!! And i do awesome heals with it (well with patch 2.4.3) :-)

I was most of the time top 3 on healers list in any raid that i went on :-)
